If series 60 emulator is not able to open any j2me application, I suggest starting the emulator.exe from command line. e.g. under C:\S60_2nd_FP3_MIDP_SDK\bin (if that's the directory you installed the SDK) type emulator -Xdescriptor: If the path is correct the emulator will start up and you will see details of uncatched errors and Sysouts on console.
